Public speaking mean’s speaker communicate with the large group of people. Public speaking is possible only through the oral presentation. In public speaking speaker, share his or her views to the large group of people. Public speaking is most important part of communication, because it conveys the same message as the same time as a large group of people. It is a formal way of presentation with a specific audience.

In business, you will spend more time talking than writing. Probably the written communication will give you more problems. However, the oral communication will take up more of your time. In fact, you are likely to spend-more time in oral communication than in-any other work activity.

The oral communication that goes in business is informal. Primarily, it is face-to-face communication. This is form of communication. In which we all have experience.

But some of it formal oral communication take place in business. Some times business people must make formal presentation like speeches, lectures, oral reports etc. sometime they conduct and participate in committee meetings, conferences and group discussions. From time to time, they have oral interview with job applicants, worker’s and employees being evaluated. Even when they write letter’s and reports, they often being these message orally as spoken dictation.

How to make public speaking effective

The following techniques should be adopts to make public speaking effective:

Selection of topic: -
Your first step in formal speech making is to determine the topic of your presentation, if you will be assigned a topic, usually one with in your area of specialization because you have knowledge of it.
If you must select the topic you should have follow some things: -

• Your knowledge: - the first is own your background and knowledge any topic you select should be one with which you are be comfortable that is your are of proficiency.
• Your audience: - the second is the interest of your audience. The topic should be like that by which the audience can appreciate and understand and create the interest of the audience.
• Occasion: - the third is the occasion of the speech. When you select the topic you should mind that on which occasion you which give the speech. Your speech should be according to the occasion.








Conduct research to get the information needed -
You should gather the information that will from the basis of your sp
eech. In some cases, this involves searching through your mind for supporting experience.

Organize the information:-
When you have all the information you need, you are ready to begin organizing your speech. You should follow the time-honored order of a speech. Introduction, body and conclusion the same indirect order used in some reports.

Greeting usually comes first: -
When you stand to presentation, the first words usually spoken are the greeting. You greeting of course should fit the audience. “Ladies and gentleman” is and appropriate for a mixed audience.

Gain attention in the opening: -
The introduction of the speech has much the same goal as introduction of a written report.
The introduction of a speech usually has the addition requirement of arousing interest. So speaker should create the interest of listener in the introduction of speech. Speaker must work to gain and hold your audience interest.

Organize must speech by factors: -
Organizing of your body speech is much like organizing the body of a report. You are more likely to use factor’s as the basis of division them time place or quantity, to give satisfactory answers of question of the audience.

The ending usually: -
The speech usually ends with a conclusion. You bring all that you have presents to a hand. You achieve the speech goal. You should consider including there three elements in your close:-
• A summary of the key point developed in the presentation.
• A statement of the conclusion.
• A statement of your subject.
